Senior Architectural Technologist
Stephen joined Graham + Sibbald in May 2026, working in the Manchester Office as a Senior Architectural Technologist. He has over 24 years industry experience in architectural practice starting his career through an apprenticeship at the age of 16. Gaining a 2:1 in his BSc(Hons) degree in Architectural Technology at The University of Bolton, he qualified as a Chartered Architectural Technologist in November 2018. Stephen is on the CIAT Specialist Register for Conservation, gaining CIAT-Accredited Conservation recognition in January 2020; a scheme recognised in the UK by the four home countries’ Heritage Bodies for its members to act as lead consultants on grant funded projects.
Stephen has considerable experience in a wide range of project sectors including Residential, Commercial, Hotels, Education, Cultural, Civic, Ecclesiastical and Heritage projects. He brings an extensive knowledge of producing condition surveys, technical drawings in Revit, contract specifications, and design coordination, working with clients and consultants from initial development of a brief through to project delivery on site.
Before joining Graham + Sibbald, Stephen has worked for a number of Manchester-based architectural practices including Falconer Chester Hall, Buttress and Purcell. One particular career highlight for Stephen was working on the £525m transformation of the Grade-I Listed Manchester Town Hall project.
