Tom Hamilton

Senior Director

Tom Hamilton joined Graham + Sibbald as a Director, Senior Chartered Architect and Passivhaus Designer in 2021 and was promoted to Senior Director in April 2026.  Tom’s experience includes 25 years in Senior Management positions across 40 years working in Architectural Practice. After qualifying as an Architectural Technician Tom attended the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow School of Art before graduating in 1997. Tom has delivered multiple projects across a wide range of sectors including Civic, Public, Education, Healthcare, Retail, Residential, Sport, Leisure, Hotels, Offices and Transport with several projects receiving local, regional and national awards. Tom has an extensive knowledge of construction, contracts, public grant funding, lead consultant and technical coordination roles which he combines with an infectious passion for design and sustainability including net zero, decarbonisation and retrofit.

On a voluntary basis Tom’s work in sport includes governance roles on the Board of National and World Governing Sports Federations working closely with the Commonwealth Sports Federation and International Paralympic Committee in his role supporting and developing visually, physically and intellectually impaired sports and working towards the inclusion of Para Bowls in future Paralympics.
