Graham + Sibbald are thrilled to announce the success of Lewis Berg (Edinburgh) who has successfully passed his Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and is now a Chartered Surveyor.
Lewis Berg joined Graham + Sibbald in 2019 on a Student Placement while studying Real Estate at Northumbria University. Initially working within the Commercial Agency team, Lewis worked alongside senior and qualified surveyors and property agents on a daily basis while providing additional support in the production of reports. Lewis then switched his area of focus switched to help meet the needs of the business and he is now part of the Residential team, learning first-hand how to undertake a variety of surveys and reports for a wide range of clients.
In his daily workload, Lewis enjoys the fast pace within the Residential team and developing his skillset even further within the business. He assists on a number of Surveys for the purpose of home reports, mortgage valuations, EPC’s and more. These reports are carried out for all major lenders across Scotland as well as many local solicitors, estate agents and private clients.
Lewis said, “My time with Graham + Sibbald so far has been greatly beneficial to my development and preparation towards sitting my APC and becoming a fully Qualified Surveyor. I’ve spent time within different departments which has allowed me to better understand the business as a whole, and enables me to apply my studies and knowledge towards problem solving in my day-to-day work. I am delighted to have passed my APC and look forward to this next step in my career.”
Graham + Sibbald aim to train and develop all of our staff members to allow them to be qualified to the highest level possible, and so our APC candidates are supported and mentored by key qualified staff members.
