Compliance + Quality Officer

We are seeking to recruit a Compliance and Quality Officer to join our Operations team based in Glasgow.

The Role

To support the Compliance + Quality Manager and Group Operations Director in maintaining and enhancing the company’s quality, compliance, environmental and health & safety standards.

The role is responsible for planning, conducting and reporting on quality and compliance audits across all business sectors, ensuring adherence to internal procedures, regulatory requirements and recognised management standards.

Duties

  • Conduct internal quality and compliance audits in accordance with agreed audit programmes and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Examine records, reports, operating practices and documentation to assess compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements and professional standards
  • Complete audit workpapers, documenting audit testing, findings, corrective actions and recommendations
  • Prepare audit reports and communicate findings to managers, divisional boards and other stakeholders
  • Support the coordination and delivery of ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 14001 Environmental Management audits
  • Maintain audit schedules, compliance records, management systems and associated documentation
  • Monitor and manage the Compliance Team mailbox and respond to routine compliance enquiries
  • Assist with the administration and management of complaints in accordance with the company’s Complaints Handling Procedure

Skills + Experience

The following skills + experience is relevant to the role:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience of undertaking audits, compliance reviews or quality assurance activities
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 14001 Environmental Management standards
  • Understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements and wider regulatory compliance obligations
  • Experience of preparing reports, maintaining records and analysing information accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
