Clifton Park Hotel Sold in Retirement Sale by Long-Term Owners

The Clifton Park Hotel, a prominent and much-loved fixture in St Annes, has officially changed hands following the retirement of long-term owners Melvyn Lord and Derek Slater. The sale was successfully brokered by Martin Davis of Graham + Sibbald at a price close to the guide of £2.9 million and marks the end of an era for the hotel, which has thrived under Melvyn and Derek’s stewardship for several decades.

The 49 bedroom hotel has been acquired by the team from the Craig-y-Don Hotel, which is a local business operating in a similar sector, they are an experienced team with a strong track record in the hospitality industry. They bring a wealth of relevant operational experience and a clear vision to build on the success of the Clifton Park Hotel, continuing its legacy as a premier destination for both leisure and business travellers.

Melvyn Lord and Derek Slater transformed the Clifton Park Hotel into one of the area’s most respected and recognisable establishments, known for its high standards of service and loyal customer base. Their retirement marks the conclusion of a proud chapter in the hotel’s history.
