Traversing north will lead to Blair Castle, the last castle in the British Isles to be besieged during the last Jacobite Rising, interestingly the Duke of Atholl is the only person in the UK allowed to raise a private army.

The locale area is also a perfect base for energetic munro baggers, surrounded by Mountains such as Beinn a’ Ghlo and Ben Chonzie hikers of all experience levels are sure to check a couple off their list.
