Glasgow Residential APC Candidate Success

Graham + Sibbald (G+S) are thrilled to announce the recent success of their surveyor, Erin Russell (Glasgow) who has passed her Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and is now a Chartered Residential Surveyor.

Erin joined G+S in 2016 straight from high school as an Administrative Assistant and thereafter adapted her knowledge of he Surveying world by providing support across various departments within the firm. By doing this Erin then became interested in being a Surveyor herself and joined the Graham + Sibbald Graduate Apprenticeship Programme, studying Construction and the Built Environment at Edinburgh Napier. She graduated in October 2025 with a 1st class honours.

In her day-to-day Erin works with her senior colleagues expanding her knowledge of surveying by learning and applying practical techniques, assisting in surveys, and building new relationships with Graham + Sibbald’s close client base. She also assists on a number of surveys for the purpose of home reports, mortgage valuations, EPCs and more.

In 2023 Erin also won an award for Trainee of the Year at the BWC Glasgow Circle of Inspiration Awards.

Erin commented: “Having been at Graham + Sibbald for 10 years, starting as an Admin Assistant and now successfully passing my APC to be a Chartered Surveyor is a great feeling. Enrolling on the Graduate Apprenticeship Programme was the best thing I have done for my career. Having the ability to learn from my colleagues while studying allowed me to put theory into practice and have a greater understanding. I am extremely thankful to everyone that has supported me from the start of my surveying career until now. It is a great team to be part of and I am excited to continue my journey at Graham + Sibbald as a Chartered Surveyor.”

Graham + Sibbald aim to train and develop all of our staff members to allow them to be qualified to the highest level possible, and so our APC candidates are supported and mentored by key qualified staff members.

Gosia Kilpatrick, Residential Director, Glasgow, commented: “It has been a pleasure to work with Erin over the years. Watching her progress from Admin Assistant, to Student Surveyor to Graduate Surveyor and now a Chartered Surveyor. She has worked exceptionally hard over the past years, and we are delighted to see her achieve this well-deserved success. Everyone at G+S could not be prouder of Erin.”
