Combined business increases annual revenue to over £35m, and comprises 400 employees across 26 locations
Graham + Sibbald, one of the UK’s fastest growing and most respected firms of chartered surveyors and property consultants, has continued its expansion plans with the acquisition of JMP Construction and Property Consultants and its sister company SID Asset Management.
The acquisition follows the purchase of Aitchison Raffety in September 2025, creating a combined business with more than 400 employees operating out of 26 locations across the UK and increases Graham + Sibbald’s revenue to over £35m per annum.
Signalling a major vote of confidence in Graham + Sibbald’s ambitious growth plans, the acquisition was financed as part of the funding deal with global investment manager Foresight Group which was agreed in Q3 2025.
JMP is, a forward thinking-chartered surveyors practice specialising in stock condition surveys, quantity surveying, energy performance certificates and drone surveys. JMP will compliment Graham + Sibbald’s already strong Technical Services team which is made up of 50 building surveyors, architects and project managers.
JMP has developed its own specialist technology platform to bring high levels of efficiency in undertaking stock condition surveys for social housing associations. The JMP systems also work in tandem with SID Asset Management and the bespoke HUB software, to provide an unparalleled service to their extensive client base. The specialist HUB software holds a wealth of data to assist client decision making and asset management planning, whilst tracking and managing the short, medium and long-term investment required by Registered Providers to maintain their properties.
The acquisition therefore complements Graham + Sibbald, while further expanding the reach of its multidisciplinary property service offering to national clients, enabling the combined business to enter new specialist markets.
Calum Campbell, Managing Partner at Graham + Sibbald, said: “Adding JMP’s offering to our suite of services across the UK further strengthens what we already have and allows us to diversify into a new areas under our Technical Services department. JMP have worked hard to develop and roll out their specialist system which is another asset to add to our offering.
We look forward to welcoming the staff at JMP to Graham + Sibbald.”
Graeme Reid, Managing Director at JMP, added: “We are delighted to be joining Graham + Sibbald and look forward to working alongside Calum, Andy and the rest of their colleagues to combine our respective skills and expertise to enhance and extend our offering throughout the UK. All of the team at JMP and SID are excited for what the future holds.”
Andy Thomson, Head of Glasgow Building Surveying said “We are thrilled to be acquiring JMP, their specialist platform and stelar reputation in the stock condition survey sector will compliment our Technical Services team. I look forward to working with Graeme on bringing the teams together to ensure we are continuing to provide our clients with the best service.”
To ensure a smooth transition for employees and clients, Graham + Sibbald and JMP will continue to trade as separate entities for an initial period before becoming fully integrated under the Graham + Sibbald brand.
