Graham + Sibbald are delighted to announce the recent full-time hire of Robbie Kemsley as a Graduate Residential Surveyor based within the firms Glasgow office.
After leaving high school to pursue a golf scholarship at Western New Mexico University, Robbie returned to Scotland to undertake a law degree. He then discovered his passion for property, subsequently deciding to study a Masters in Real Estate at the University of Glasgow and sought a work experience opportunity within Graham + Sibbald after researching their various career pathways.
Robbie said; “The pandemic made it difficult to secure a placement opportunity as many businesses were not in a position to take anyone on and competition was high. I was delighted to be taken on by Graham + Sibbald’s residential team as my Masters had been primarily commercial focussed. The team were really supportive and I was able to achieve a balance of part-time work and study while I finished my degree.”
“I based my dissertation around the impact of COVID-19 on the residential property market in Scotland and was able to interview a number of residential Partners from across the business to provide key stats and comments on how each of the major towns and cities across Scotland have been affected.”
“I look forward to joining the team now on a full-time basis as a Graduate Surveyor. My next focus is to begin preparations to sit my Professional Assessment of Competence (APC) which will enable me to become a fully Chartered Surveyor.”
Graham + Sibbald offer a range of career pathways to cater for a variety of study and lifestyle choices from their Graduate Apprenticeship Programme which offers full-time work alongside study, their Undergraduate Programme which consists of flexible degree placements, to their Graduate Programme which offers a structured training framework for graduates to allow them to take their education further.
