UK Chartered Surveyors and Property Consultants Graham + Sibbald have appointed Gregor Porteous as Director within the firm’s Hotel + Leisure Valuation team, based in Edinburgh.
Gregor joins from CBRE and brings more than 10 years’ experience providing strategic valuation and property investment advice across the hotel, hospitality, leisure and operational real estate sectors. He has advised a broad range of lenders, investors, operators and private clients throughout the UK, with particular expertise in hotel assets.
The firm’s Hotel + Leisure division currently comprises a specialist team of ten professionals across the UK, with Gregor working alongside Kevin Hunter, Senior Director, and Mary Leitch, Associate, in Scotland. The team was further strengthened in June 2026 through Graham + Sibbald’s acquisition of Fleurets, the leading leisure and hospitality property specialist with extensive expertise across hotels, pubs, restaurants, nightclubs and wider leisure assets. The acquisition has expanded the combined Hotel + Leisure offering to more than 30 specialists operating nationwide, creating one of the largest specialist hotel and leisure advisory teams in the UK.
Gregor Porteous commented:
“I am delighted to be joining Graham + Sibbald at such an exciting stage in the firm’s development. The business has ambitious growth plans and a strong reputation within the hotel and leisure sector. I look forward to working with lenders, investors and operators across the UK, helping them make informed property decisions through high-quality valuation and advisory services, particularly within the hotel and hospitality markets.”
Kevin Hunter, Senior Director, said:
“We are thrilled to welcome Gregor to the business. He brings a wealth of experience, strong market knowledge and an excellent reputation within the sector. His appointment significantly strengthens our hotel valuation capability in Scotland while enhancing our ability to support hospitality, leisure and operational real estate clients across the UK.”
Over recent years, Graham + Sibbald’s Hotel + Leisure division has experienced significant growth, expanding both its geographical reach and the breadth of services offered to clients. Gregor’s appointment reinforces the firm’s continued commitment to investing in Scotland while supporting an expanding client base across the UK hotel, hospitality and leisure sectors.
