Senior Architect
John joined Graham + Sibbald in May 2025, working in our Manchester Office as a Senior Architect. John graduated from University of Sheffield with a First-Class Honours Degree in Architecture which was then followed by Diploma in Architecture and a Master’s degree in Architecture.
John worked in two local practices whilst completing the RIBA North West Regions professional practice examination; covering a wide range of sectors from Mental Health, large scale retail to water services and education facilities.
John then set up his own architectural practice in 2003 which successfully ran up to his decision to Join us in 2025. The work undertaken during this period was diverse covering a wide range of project sectors from light industry to Mental Health refurbishment; Office fit outs to multiple unit housing projects. Recent works have largely focused on high end residential properties; both new build and refurbishment, with focus on bespoke detailing, management of construction works on site and delivery of the original design intent.
In his day-to-day activities John works utilises Autocad, Photoshop and power point presentations but still relies heavily on a sketch book & pen at the beginning of any new design proposal.
